August 1 through August 16:
"The Cannibals" by George Tabori, directed by Alison Christy.
George Tabori (who died in 2007 at the age of 93) is a Hungarian-born playwright and director, and a significant figures in 20th century theater. This dark, disturbing, and yet warmly human play, was
the first play after World War Two to occur wholly in Auschwitz, where Tabori’s father died in 1944.
It is the story of two Auschwitz survivors who reunite 25 years later, and are joined by the children of those who perished. Together they re-enact the dinner party that determined all their fates.
This epic story of history and memory, described by Tabori as a “horror farce”, uses a unique mix of psychodrama, revue, and tragi-comedy to examine the terrible choices these men were forced to make.
"The Cannibals" features Dax Anderson, Josh Campos, Katie Glaska, Caroline Hayes, Keith
Kalinowski, David Legato, Lisa Melinn, Sandy Menzel, Linda Rabin-Hammell, Sean Paraventi, Rob Rose, Lauren Schafer, and Frannie Shepherd-Bates.

"Desperate Losers, Part 2: PWNED" written and directed by Michael McGettigan.
Michael McGettigan and the team at Fevered Egos TV present the conclusion to their original comedy set in the year 2012, chronicling the lives of
five Corktown roommates. With no electricity, phones or gas, those who are lucky enough to find a job, find it laboring in the Detroit Salt Mine underneath the city.

Equus.
Peter Schaffer. April 4 through 26, 2008. Thomas Hoagland, Director.
Presented by The Abreact Theater, the cast for this production includes Alex Hill as Alan, Dan Morrison as Dysart, the psychiatrist, as well as Dave Schoen, Lisa Melinn,
Dax Anderson, Katie Galazka, Dawn Bartley, and Mike Fiedler.
Religious zealotry, sexual deviance, violence, misplaced ideals and the
confusion and perplexity of being looked to as savior in a mind that
can not be saved, these are just a taste of what is in store for the
audience of “Equus.” This Tony Award winning show follows the story of Alan Strang, a seventeen-year-old boy admitted to a state institution for stabbing the eyes out of six horses and
the psychiatrist assigned to help discover what would inspire such a horrible act. This production promises to be hard to forget.
